LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM :                                                     

 We at STS are involved with Library Management Systems and have built up resources for providing services to the many libraries in India and Bangladesh. Many of these Libraries are over 100 – 150 years old, like Asiatic Society of India, Calcutta, National Library, Calcutta, National Library, Mumbai, etc. All these libraries have rare documents of national heritage which are over 300 years old. There are hundreds of thousands of books which are too brittle and need special care. Millions of pages of old documents will have to be Scanned with a specialized book scanner and archived on CDs/DVDs. Government of India has also taken up a massive project of creating a Digital library of India with one million books. We have offered our services to the IT Department of Govt. of India, for this project.

 We have acquired two Book-Scanners, Minolta PS7000 Face Up Book Scanners and two Fujitsu High Speed Production scanners. We will be acquiring more PS7000 as and when the demand for digitizing books will require additional equipments.

 Although we have the capability to create software for library management software, we or most other software companies in India do not have the capability to create Digital Library software with Metadata and other requirements or to create Library Management software in MARC or Uni-MARC format. There are Library software companies in USA and we are in the process of establishing an alliance with one of them.

 STS has the capability and the goal of providing this service not only in India but also in S-E Asian countries.
